Asalāmu’alaikum & hi there ♡
Welcome to my second newsletter.
Remember in my last newsletter when I said:

Yes?
Well, this links to the topic of today's newsletter.
You can’t get through life without a plan otherwise you’ll just be sleepwalking.
Where to?
Depends on your deeds.
What you need is a daily routine.
A routine that will help you step out of the lack mindset into the growth mindset helping you to build beneficial habits and routines along the way.
Having a daily routine is essential, but it’s important that this routine aligns with your identity. Even if you don't have one, think again—you might be following a routine shaped by societal norms that don’t reflect your values or aspirations.
When you don’t create your own routine, you’re allowing others to dictate how you live, often serving their goals instead of your own.
The longer you put off establishing your structure, the more likely you are to drift into a life that feels unfulfilling.
An unfulfilling life leads to unfulfilled outcomes.
Leading to a feeling of lack of self-worth.
Routines are your pathway to success.
Think of the five daily prayers in Islam; they provide a divine structure for life. The call to prayer itself invites us to both prayer and success.
Prayer encourages mindfulness, focus, and purposeful action. Our minds crave order, which is why many of us stay in jobs we might dislike—they provide us with routine.
As humans we love routine, it gives us comfort.
Think about your job.
You hate it but you turn up every day; not wanting to quit.
Why?
Because our human nature wants structure, it needs routine.
Just think about your days off. How are they different to your working days?
Your 3 daily wins
Every day you need the following wins:
A spiritual win (your 5 daily prayers)
A physical win (going for a walk)
A mental win (writing in your journal)
All of these daily wins are interconnected to help you lead a productive and fulfilling lifestyle, keeping your mind and body healthy, and helping you to reduce mental chaos.
The key to a fulfilling life is maintaining balance in all 3 areas.
If you don’t have routines in place that nurture your mind, body and soul, what are you doing?
No, seriously.
Is there something more important than yourself?
Let me tell you from first-hand experience, that your health is worth compromising for nothing.
Nothing at all.
After the realisation of nearly losing my life dawned on me, I asked myself how am I leading my life. Is this how I really want to live?
Being accountable to yourself is so important.
If you're not honest with yourself then you’re just constantly lying to yourself.
You’re being delusional.
Human psychology naturally drives us toward growth, development, and creativity.
Allāh teaches us to seek lasting happiness, not momentary pleasure.
True happiness comes from progress, from becoming a better person over time.
1% better every day.
Make intentional choices to get your desired outcome.
When you think, “I just want to do what I want,” understand that this is your ego talking. It’s easier to stay comfortable and resist growth, but nothing grows in the comfort zone.
Real satisfaction comes from self-improvement and spiritual growth, which are much more rewarding than short-lived pleasures.
I’m going to tell you how you’re going to start making changes in your life so that you can become successful at achieving your goals:
1. Focus on intention: Are your actions aligned with your purpose?
In a world where distractions are just a click away, how often do you stop to reflect on the intention behind what you do?
In Islām, every action is weighed not by its outward appearance but by the intention behind it. The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Actions are judged by their intentions, and everyone will be rewarded according to what they intended.” (Sahih Bukhāri)
This isn’t just a principle for worship or big life decisions—it's for every moment of your day.
From the smallest act of kindness to the way you approach your work, are your actions aligned with your higher purpose?
It’s easy to get caught up in doing things for the sake of approval or validation, but what if you focused more on whether your actions align with what you truly want to achieve in life?
Are your intentions pure, seeking the pleasure of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى in all that you do, or are you just going through the motions?
2. Strive for 1% better every day: Can small improvements lead to big change?
We’re often obsessed with instant results and overnight success.
But in Islām, growth is a continuous journey.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم taught us that progress isn’t about making giant leaps, but rather about taking steady steps, no matter how small. “The best of deeds are those that are done consistently, even if they are few.” (Sahih Bukhāri)
Instead of aiming for perfection, what if you focused on becoming just 1% better every day?
This could mean improving your patience, seeking more knowledge, or strengthening your relationship with Allāh سبحانه وتعالى.
Imagine if every day you could make tiny improvements to your intentions and habits.
Over time, those small actions would build a foundation for big transformations, much like the ripple effect of a drop of water in the ocean.
3. Learn something new every day: Are you open to continuous growth?
Seeking knowledge is a core value in Islām.
The first revelation to the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم was "Iqra" (Read), emphasising the importance of learning and seeking wisdom.
How often do you challenge yourself to learn something new, whether it's about Islām, the world around you, or yourself?
Each day is an opportunity to learn something new—a piece of knowledge, a fresh perspective, or a skill that can bring you closer to your goals.
The Qurān tells us, “And say, ‘My Lord, increase me in knowledge.’” (Qurān, 20:114)
This isn’t just about academic knowledge; it’s about seeking understanding in every aspect of life.
Learning keeps your mind sharp, your heart humble, and your soul growing.
But here's the question.
How committed are you to learning something new every single day? Whether it's deepening your understanding of the Qur’an, mastering a new skill for personal development, or gaining new perspectives that help you live a better life—are you cultivating a habit of lifelong learning?
The daily routine that is slowly changing my life:
A spiritual win (your 5 daily prayers)
A physical win (going for a walk)
A mental win (writing in your journal)
You now have a framework—a simple, yet effective daily routine that aligns with your purpose and well-being. But as you know, knowledge alone isn’t enough.
The question is: Will you act on it?
It takes discipline to commit to these small, daily wins. Some days will be easier than others but remember—consistency is the key to lasting transformation.
Start today.
🌙 Be 1% better than yesterday.
💡 Build a life of intention, purpose, and success.
I’d love to hear from you—what small habit are you committing to today? Reply to this email and let me know!
Until next time.
